Joseph McDonald

Joseph Derek McDonald, age 34, of Tiline, KY passed away at 10:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at his home.

Derek worked for McDonald Trucking, and had attended Sugar Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his father and mother, Mike J. and Idelia “Dilly” Maupin McDonald, of Tiline, one brother, Michael Brandon McDonald, of Grand Rivers, Ky. and both his grandmothers, Hazel Maupin, of Tiline, and Earnestine McDonald, of Grand Rivers. He is also survived by one niece, Madison McDonald, and one nephew, Evan McDonald, both of Grand Rivers, and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harold Maupin and Robert McDonald.

Funeral services for Derek will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland, Ky. with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Paradise Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland, KY.
