Albert Edmonds, 88, of Smithland, passed away March 15, 2020 at his home.
Albert was a retired equipment operator and a member of Union 181. He was also a farmer who loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Mr. Edmonds served in the United States Army for two years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #138 in Smithland and was of the Baptist faith.
Albert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Becky Edmonds; two sons, Gary (Wendie) Edmonds of Smithland and Allen (Tabby) Edmonds of Smithland; one brother, Kelcy Edmonds of Fairview, Michigan; one sister Minnie Miller of Ledbetter; three grandchildren, Pricilla Fiers, Brondrick Edmonds, and Telor Edmonds; five great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Albert in death are his parents, James and Mary Laure Edmonds; three brothers, Coy, Cecil, and W.F. Edmonds; and four sisters, Doris Dodds, Monnie Johnson, Mary Weaver, and Annie Dodds.
Private family graveside services will be held.
Smith Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
