Betty Sue Paris, 78, of Smithland passed away at her residence on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Paris was a former CNA at Oakview Nursing Home (formerly Cedar Crest) and the receptionist at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland for many years. She was also a member of the Smithland Second Baptist Church.
Surviving is her husband, Cecil Paris of Smithland; three daughters, Susan (Mike) Wurth of Paducah, Judy Dunn of Paducah, Nancy Lents of Louisville; one son, Nickey (Debbie) Winsett of Calvert City; one stepson, Gregory Paris of Smithland; and one brother, William Foster Arnold Jr. of Nashville, TN; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Foster Arnold Sr. and Lou Allie Williams Arnold; one brother; three sisters; two granddaughters, Dafny Dunn and Tera Static; one stepbrother; three stepsisters; one son-in-law, Dale Dunn, and her first husband, James Winsett.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Smithland Second Baptist Church with the Bro. Fred Lowrance and Bro. Michael Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Iuka Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday and from 8:30am to 12:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also call from 1:00pm to funeral hour on Saturday at the church.
