Charles Gaines
March 13, 1932 — December 29, 2016
Charles Gaines, 85, of Tiline passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Gaines worked in the manufacturing industry and was a farmer. He enjoyed making brooms, making flies for fly fishing, bee keeping, and farming. He was also a U.S. Korean War Veteran and a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Jean Gaines of Tiline; one granddaughter, Natalie (Andy) Edwards of Benton; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn Raby and Bryce Edwards.
He was preceded in death by one son, Randy Gaines; one brother, Barkly Gaines; and one sister, Hazel Stigall. His parents were Guy Gaines and Lula Kemper Gaines.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Wednesday, January 4, 2016 at Smith Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Groves Chapel Cemetery with military honors.
