Christine Paris

Christine Paris of Smithland passed away Friday, August 23 at the age of 90.

Christine was a factory worker and a school teacher. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She loved spending time with her family and had a special love for her church family and friends. Christine was a member of Christian Fellowship Church.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Connie (Terry) Owen of Smithland; two grandchildren, Landon (Renee) Owen of Paducah and Derek Owen of Paducah; one great grandchild, Kyndal Owen; three sisters, Lois Ramage of Mayfield, Betty Jo of Ledbetter, and Thelma Lloyd of Aurora, Illinois; two brothers, Harry Buford of Paducah and Bill Buford of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.

Christine is preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Rhea; her second husband Jewell Paris; parents William and Lillie Chappell Buford; and one sister, Ethelene McCarty.

Friends may visit the family from 10:00 am to 11:00 Thursday, August 29, at Smith Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Richie Clendenen officiating.
