Derek Rafferty Edmonds, 29, of Grand Rivers died at 8 p.m. Friday at his home.
Mr. Edmonds was a self-employed carpenter. He graduated from Livingston Central High School and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Becky Hayden; three sons, Robbie Edmonds, Andrew Edmonds and Garrett Edmonds, all of Grand Rivers; his father, David Edmonds of Smithland; his mother and stepfather, Kent and Scarlett Johnson Faith of Tiline; three sisters, Rhea Evans of Ledbetter, Andrea Evans of Calvert City and Sarah Quarles of Grand Rivers; two brothers, Kristin Evans of Louisville and Denver Edmonds of Smithland; his grandparents, Glenda Edmonds and Ronnie and Carolyn Johnson, all of Smithland; his great-grandmother, Mamie Jones of Smithland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, J.S. Edmonds.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland with the Rev. Jeremy Short officiating. Burial will be at Edmonds Cemetery in Livingston County.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
