Forrest Miller Blaine, 85, of Grand Rivers, died at 9:50 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah.
Mr. Blaine attended Iuka Baptist Church. He was a retired project manager and chemical operator for Union Carbide (USEC) and WWII U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Brasher Blaine; two sons, Brad Blaine of Dallas, Texas and Rick Fuller of Taylor, Mich.; two daughters, Chris Slimco of Marblehead, Ohio and Lori Ardle of Moore, Okla.; one sister, Betty Lou Lady of Gilbertsville; seven grandchildren, Alexander Blaine, Rachel Pell, Nichole Fuller, Steven Fuller, Shannon Ardle, Melissa Ardle and Mathew Ardle; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Minnie Q. Blaine; one sister, Elizabeth Gray; and four brothers, Roy Blaine, John Carr Blaine, Harold Blaine and Richard Blaine.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Iuka Baptist Church in Iuka. Rev. Thomas Williams officiating. Military graveside rites will follow in Iuka Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Chapel, today, September 7, 2010, and after noon Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at the church.
