Gilford Smith
b. April 10, 1931
Gilford N. Smith, 81, of Tiline died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday at Lourdes Hospital.
Mr. Smith was a retired heavy equipment operator with I.U.O.E. Local# 181 for 56 years and a member of Cumberland Valley Baptist Church in Tiline.
Surviving are two daughters, Marie Keys of Grand Rivers,KY and Kimberly Smith Gibbs of Charlotte, NC; one step-son, Mike Reno of Owensboro,KY; three step-daughters, Patricia Holsapple of Paducah, Carol Murphy of Tiline, and Iris Michel of Paducah; one brother, Tony Smith of Smithland; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ida Smith; his wife, Jacqueline Gossett Smith; one son, Ricky Smith; three brothers, C.R. Smith, Maurice Smith and Hal D. Smith; one sister, Ina Carolyne Trail; and one step grandson, Michael Murphy.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Chapel, with Rev. C.C. Brasher officiating. Burial will follow at Tiline Cemetery.
Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, at the Smith Funeral Chapel.
