Gladys L. "Nanny" Ringstaff Wood

Gladys L. “Nanny” Ringstaff Wood, age 90, passed away on January 27th, 2022, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Gladys owned and operated Wood’s Upholstery in Ledbetter, and attended Ohio Valley Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, Chinese food, basketball, reading Danielle Steel books, and spending time with her family.

Gladys is survived by her son, Stacey Don (Deana) Wood; her daughter-in-law, Melia Wood; her sibling, Don (Sue) Ringstaff, and her two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Ringstaff and Peggy Ringstaff; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her special nieces, Robin Leidecker, Jody Wright, and Moni Hill.

Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, James William “Pa” Wood; her parents, Dewey Thomas Ringstaff and Lordine Mitchell Ringstaff; her two children, William “Bill” Bailey Wood and James “Bob” Robert Wood; her siblings, Dewey Thomas “Jack” Ringstaff Jr., Barbara Burchard, Roy Ringstaff, Ruby Salyer, James “Jimmy” Ringstaff, and Wayne Lee “Brady” Ringstaff; and her special friend, S.C. Doom.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
