Hiriam P. Smith, 87, of Smithland passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Smith was retired from Jim Smith Contacting where he was president. He served on the Smithland City Council for 12 years, a 60-year Mason of the Smithland Masonic Lodge #138, and member of Smithland First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Smith of Smithland; two daughters, Connie Smith of Reidland, Joy (Darrell) Ramage of Ledbetter; two sons, Curtis Smith of Ledbetter, Dicky Smith of Smithland; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. Smith and Willie Smith; three brothers, Jim R. Smith, Ivan Hugh (Bud) Smith, Bill Smith; four sisters, Geneva Youngblood, Lucille Wade, June Dunn, and Imogene Riggs.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Wayne Carter and Shawn Vandergriff officiating. Burial will follow at Tiline Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
