Hobart Roberts

Hobart Merlin Roberts, 87 of Smithland died at 3:00am Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Roberts was a retired dairy farmer, a member of the National Holstein Frisian Association, and a member of Smithland First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine Champion Roberts; three sons, Stanley Roberts of Ventura County, CA, Wendell Roberts of Ventura, CA and Benjamin Roberts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Hans Roberts. His parents were Stanley and Mabel Roberts.
Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland, with the Rev. Brian Arnold officiating. Burial will be at Minisink Church Cemetery in Montague, New Jersey.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
