Jacqueline Smith

Jacqueline Gossett Smith, 81 of Tiline joined our Lord and Savior and her beloved grandson, Michael, on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

Jackie, as she was known to her friends, loved music and for many years was the organist at her church, Cumberland Valley Baptist Church in Tiline. She was also a member of the Order of The Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Gilford Smith; one son, Mike (Cindy) Reno of Owensboro; five daughters, Patricia (Bill) Holsapple of Paducah, Carol Murphy of Tiline, Iris Darlene (Bob) Michel of Paducah, Kimberly Smith (Kerry) Gibbs of Charlotte, NC, and Marie (Jody) Key of Grand Rivers; one brother, Fred (Wanda) Gossett of Madisonville; and two sisters, Joyce Devine and Teddie (Tom) McClain, both of Central City. She is also survived by seven grandsons, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted & Helen Gossett; one stepson, Rickey Smith; and one grandson, Michael Kenneth Murphy.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM until 1:00PM on Saturday, July 16th 2011, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland, KY.

Services will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
