Jeff Paris

Jeffery Lynn Paris, 68, of Smithland passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Jeff worked as a farmer and was head of maintenance for Livingston County School System. Prior to that, he worked for Pyro Mining Co. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is one son, Jeffery Paris of Ironwood, MI, four siblings, Jewell “Jr.” (Wanda)Paris, Detra Coley, Diane Paris (Chuck Dauphin), Justin (Lee Ann) Paris and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He also leaves a close cousin Norman “Rod” Joiner and his beloved dog “Scooter.”

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Jewell and Mamie Irene Paris, grandparents Ollie and Maude Paris, William Joiner, Gertrude Joiner and brother-in-law Ronnie Coley.

Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Sexton officiating.

Friends may visit the family from 4:00 p.m. to the service hour at the funeral home.
