Jennetta Dukes Council

Jennetta Dukes Council, 85, of Paducah died Tuesday at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Council was a retired seamstress.

Surviving are two sisters, Katie Dukes Doolittle of Indiana and Nellie Dukes Walker of Grand Rivers, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Opal “Bun” Council; her parents, Jake and Ella Dukes; two brothers, Frank and Orville Dukes; three sisters, Pauline Dukes Head, Mary Dukes Southerland, and Laney Dukes Denson; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Smithland Cemetery. Smith Funeral Chapel of Smithland is in charge of arrangements.
