Larry Long

Cecil “Larry” Long 79 of Tiline, KY, passed peacefully on July 27th surrounded by his family at his home. He was born on November 21st, 1944. He was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church, & a member of Smithland Masonic Lodge #138.

He was a dedicated coal miner, heavy machine operator, & farmer. 

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Diona Long; one son Mark Long (Laura) of Grandrivers KY. 2 Granddaughters, Ashton Long (Cody) of Smithland KY and Ally Thompson (Tristin) of Tiline, KY. & 1 Great Granddaughter Sutton Blake Thompson. Along with several nieces, nephews, & cousins. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents Cecil & Louise Long, brother Ronnie Long, & sister Norma Long. 

Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday July 31, 2024 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland, KY.  The funeral service will be 1 pm Thursday August 1, 2024 at Smith Funeral Chapel.  The Rev. Wayne Jones to officiate.  Interment will be at Paradise Cemetery in Livingston County.
