Mary Lou Terry

January 14, 1941 — March 13, 2025

Smithland

Mary Lou Terry went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2025, at her home in Smithland, KY.

She was the mother to Lisa Adam (Bristol, VA), Kelly Schwab (Colorado Springs, CO), and James Garrison (Darlington, MD). She had 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a loving extended family.

As a young woman, Mary Lou joined the Air Force and met and married LTC Edgar Charles Garrison. She excelled as an Army wife for 20 years where they lived all over the world and raised their family, ultimately retiring in Maryland. Mary Lou worked as a hospice nurse for the VA for many years. Later in life she married Jim Terry and moved back to her home town of Smithland.

Mary Lou enjoyed camping and fishing, and passed along her love of the outdoors to her family. She adored taking care of her pets, and greatly enjoyed weekly calls with her two brothers, Jerry Wolfe (Melbourne, Florida) and Terry Wolfe (Smithland, KY).

Mary Lou valued her Christian faith, and her family gives thanks to the promise of eternal life.

Friends may visit with the family from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday March 18, 2025 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smith Funeral Chapel
