May Brunson King

May Brunson “Nana” King, 94, of Ledbetter, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. King was a retired meat wrapper from Stepherson’s in Memphis, TN and a member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church. She was a loving mother who loved her church and her family. She also enjoyed reading her Bible every day.

Surviving are her two children, Barbara King of Ledbetter, KY and Mike (Cathy) King of Bartlett, TN; four grandchildren, Jessica (John) Herring of Eddyville, KY, Judith Cathey of Ledbetter, KY, Aaron (Erin) King of Jonesboro, AR, and Mary Kate King of Bartlett, TN; three great-grandchildren, Richmond-May Elizabeth Herring, Connor Michael Herring, and Samuel Aaron King; and her twin brother, Ray (Mary) Brunson of Bartlett, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richmond “Lucky” King; three sisters; and four brothers. Her parents were Edd Lee Brunson and Ida Francis Ellett Brunson.

Funeral service will be at 6:00pm on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Ohio Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Mitcheson officiating.

Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm - 6:00pm on Sunday at the church.

Service will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home.
