Melody Gail (Huddleston) Martin
January 27, 1948 — April 19, 2017
Melody Gail Martin, 69, of Tiline passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab in Paducah.
Mrs. Martin was a retired school bus driver and member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She loved spending time at church and with church members. She also enjoyed sewing, outdoors, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are one daughter, Lori (Paul) Rose of Tiline; two grandchildren, Amber Duff of Tiline and Cory Doom of Smithland; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Duff, Riley Guill, Kennadee Doom, and Aniston Duff; two step-grandchildren, Allison Rose of Gilbertville and Jessica Rose of Marion; one brother-in-law, Larry Martin of Smithland; two sister-in-law, Linda Martin of Smithland and Barbara Sanders of Ashland, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Martin Jr.; one brother-in-law, Lee Martin; and three sister-in-laws, Katherine Scott, Elizabeth Berry, Mary Howard. Her parents were James Huddleston and Marjorie Huddleston.
Funeral services will be at 3:00pm on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. B.J. Myrick and Van Willett officiating. Burial will follow at Groves Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family from 12:00pm to service hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
