Robert T. Bobby Williams, 83, of Smithland passed away Thursday at the Christian Care Center of Kuttawa. Mr Williams was a retired road worker with the state highway department and a member of Smithland First Baptist Church, The Masonic F & A M Lodge 138 of Smithland, and a was a World War II Army Veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Virginia Williams of Smithland; Two brothers-in-law, Fred New of Eddyville, Ralph New of Henderson; three sisters-in-law, Becky Brindley of Smithland, Stella Potts of Tiline, Grace Tincher of Greencastle, IN; three nieces, Debbie Esch of Hopkinsville, Jill Smith of Smithland, Lynn Rodgers of Mesa, AZ; three nephews, Glenn New of Smithland, Darrell New of Boaz, and Josh Dae of Mesa, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lillian Melton Williams; two brothers, Ben Moss, Edward Scarborough; one sister, Grace Chestnut; and one niece.
Services will be at 1:30 PM Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Cothran Cemetery.
Friends may call after 10:30 AM on Monday until the funeral hour at the funeral chapel.
