Ronnie Rushing

Ronnie Rushing, 80, of Burna died Thursday, June 13, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Rushing was employed as an operator going on 52 years at Westlake Chemicals and was a member of Dyer Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Trish Rushing of Tolu; three sons, Mike (Shannon) Rushing of Burna, Lynn (Mary) Rushing of Burna, and Dale (Leslyn) Rushing of Crestwood; stepdaughter, Allison May of Tolu; seven grandchildren, Laura (Ramsey) Ferguson, Julie Rushing, Jessie Smith, Emma Rushing, Betsy Rushing, Alex Rushing, and Olivia Rushing; six great-grandchildren, Weston Rushing, Bryson Rushing, Allie Vincent, Kenslee Vincent, Callie Ferguson, and Jase Smith; and one sister, Peggy (Robert) Knott of Lone Oak.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie Rushing and Laura Alsobrook.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019, at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Josh Bumpus and Rev. Andrew Sexton officiating.

Burial will follow at Dyer Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family after 10 a.m. Monday until the funeral hour at Smith Funeral Chapel.
