Thomas L. Jones

Thomas L. “Pappaw” Jones, 82, of Smithland passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

Mr. Jones was an operator in construction and of the Baptist faith. He attended Potter’s House Worship Center. He loved the outdoors. But most of all, Thomas loved his family more than words can express.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Kaye Jones of Smithland; two daughters, Kim (Willie) Brooks, Starla (Richie) Neal; two sons, Tom (Kim) Jones, Ron Jones; 10 grandchildren, Daniel, Mikey, Jordan, Nikki, Jessica, Dakota, Channing, Andrew, Aaron, and Carsyn; 11 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Bentley, Parker, Annabelle, Coy, Cash, Brooklyn, Drake, Ayden, Dawson, and Baylee; two siblings, Donnie (Donna) Jones and Faye (Richard) Archambeault; his best friend, Bro. Fred Lowrance; and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Ellen Jones, and two brothers, Ray Jones and Virgil Jones Jr.

Funeral services will be at 12:00pm on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Potter’s House Worship Center in Smithland with the Rev. Fred Lowrance and Bro. Andrew Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family from 10:00am to service hour on Friday at the church.
