Vernie A. Skinner

Vernie Skinner, 82 of Grand Rivers, passed away Sunday July 21, 2024, at Baptist Health in Paducah.Mr. Skinner was a proud Vietnam Veteran. Had a strong Christian faith and was a big St. Louis Cardinal and Kentucky Basketball fan.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Skinner. One son, Caleb (April) Skinner of Benton. Two daughters; Margaret (David) Hall of Grand Rivers and Valerie (Misty) Alfaro-Skinner of Grand Rivers. Grandchildren; Josh (Tristen) Skinner and Blake Skinner, A.J. Alfaro-Skinner, Sarah and Vic Hall. And two great grandchildren, Piper and August Skinner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna Skinner. 8 brothers, 4 sisters and 2 sons, Jeffery Todd and William Ross. And his beloved dog, Ladybug.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.Smith Funeral Chapel is taking care of the Skinner family
