Virgie Mae Roberts

Virgie Mae Roberts, 93, of Smithland, passed away on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at her home. She was born September 22nd, 1924 to James and Ada Roberts in Columbia, TN. She enjoyed sending cards and was known affectionately as “The card lady”.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Earl) Buchanan of Smithland; one granddaughter, Tracy (Mike) Huff of Smithland; five great grandchildren, Rebecca Thompson and Fiancé’ Zachary Rhodes of Paducah, Garrett Thompson, Ethan Rhodes, Harrison Huff, and James Huff of Smithland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ada Roberts; six brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 11th, 2018 starting at 1pm at Ledbetter Church of Christ with David Myers officiating. Burial will be in Columbia, TN at a later date.
