William “Biggen” Mayhugh, 66, of Grand Rivers passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Livingston Health & Care Services in Salem.
Mr. Mayhugh worked in California at the New Hall Ranch and Mining Company for four years, after moving back to Kentucky he worked for Bailey Farm in Ledbetter and Reeds Crushed Store as Mechanic before becoming disabled. He was of the Baptist faith.
William loved the being outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, or working as a mechanic. He had a special love for his dogs. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and uncle.
Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Sandra Mayhugh of Grand Rivers; two sons, Richard Mayhugh and Kevin (Jeannie) Mayhugh both of Paducah; one daughter, Carolyn Mayhugh of Tiline; two brothers, James Mayhugh of Princeton and Robert (Regina) Mayhugh of Iuka; one sister, Betty Lewis of Live Oak, CA; twelve grandchildren, Makayla (Allen) Edmonds, Brandon Griffith, Clay Smith, Angela Fike, Lacy Moore, Mercedes Fike, Ashleigh Mayhugh, Shawn Mayhugh, Lindsay Mayhugh, William Mayhugh, Eddie (Ashley) Gagon, and Cory Thompson; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Bonnie Mayhugh.
Memorial service will be at 6:00pm on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Mayhugh officiating.
Friends may visit the family from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
