Charles Watson

Charles “Chuck” Watson, 81, of Ledbetter, formerly of Chicago, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Oakview Nursing and Rehab.

Chuck worked for a number of years at Sears in Chicago. Chuck was a good soul with creative hands. He could build and design anything he put his mind to out of wood and could fix just about anything. Chuck was a teller of tall tales and enjoyed music in his free time. His world revolved around his family, especially his grandchildren.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Watson; two children, Steven (Terry) Watson and Wendy (John) Koch; four brothers, Ed Watson, William Watson, Richard Watson, and Joe Watson; six grandchildren, Shane Watson, Daniel Watson, Christina Reynolds, Jamie Koch, Chuck Watson, and Katie Koch; ten great-grandchildren, Hailey, Nathan, Kaiden, Greta, Ava, Ewan, Logan, Dean, Kaleb, and Nadia; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Chuck in death are his parents, Charles B. and Virginia Watson.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Smithland First Baptist Activity Center in Smithland, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chuck’s honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org).
